Interlume Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 27, 2026

Who we are

Interlume is operated by MinMax Holdings LLC, an Illinois limited liability company (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@minmaxholdings.com. This policy covers the Interlume website, the video calling service and the Interlume apps (together, the “Service”).

What the Service does with your voice and camera

The Service translates live video calls. To do that, the audio of everyone on a call, and the text made from it, is sent in real time to an automated translation provider (OpenAI) and carried by a real-time media provider (LiveKit). Your camera is shared with the other person on the call through the media provider; video is not sent to the translation provider. Translation is performed by automated systems, not by human interpreters. Processing happens in the United States, wherever you are.

Information we collect

This version of the Service has no accounts and no payments. If we add them, this policy will say what we collect for them before they are available.

How we use it

To run the call and translate it; to fix problems and keep the Service working; to respond to support requests; to meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information and we do not use call content to advertise to you or to train models.

Automated processing

Translations are produced by automated systems and can be wrong. The Service is not a substitute for a qualified human interpreter where one is required.

How long we keep it

Call audio and video: not stored; processed in real time and discarded. Captions and translations: discarded when the call ends. Notification tokens: not stored; they expire with the invite link. Server logs: kept briefly for troubleshooting, then discarded. Support messages: as long as needed to help you.

Recording and the other people on your call

We do not record calls. If you record a call yourself, you are responsible for getting the consent the law requires from everyone on it. Some places, including Illinois, require the consent of every participant.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask for a copy, by writing to support@minmaxholdings.com. We answer within the time the applicable law allows (30 days in most cases). Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws have the rights those laws give them, exercised the same way. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights. You can withdraw from a call at any time by leaving it; nothing more from you is sent after that.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. Anyone starting a call must be an adult.

Security

Connections to the Service are encrypted in transit. Our providers decrypt audio in order to translate it; the Service is not end-to-end encrypted. No system is perfectly secure.

International users

The Service is operated from the United States and your information is processed there.

Changes

We will post changes here and update the date above. Material changes to how we handle call content will be announced in the Service before they take effect.
